As Marasca Samui marks its second anniversary, we chose to celebrate in a way that reflects what matters most to us: connecting with the community that has been part of our journey from the very beginning.

To mark this special occasion, our team spent the day with the wonderful students of Wat Nara Chareon Suk School, where creativity met an important everyday lesson. Through a colourful helmet decoration activity, the children transformed safety helmets into unique works of art while learning about the importance of wearing them every time they travel by motorcycle or bicycle.

It was a simple morning filled with colour, laughter, and meaningful conversations. One that reminded us that the best celebrations are often the ones we share.

Celebrating Two Years Together

Since opening on the shores of Chaweng Beach, Marasca Samui has been inspired by the people, culture, and natural beauty of Koh Samui.

Over the past two years, we've welcomed travellers from around the world while building lasting relationships with our local community. Every guest, neighbour, partner, and team member has helped shape the story of Marasca Samui, making this anniversary an opportunity to celebrate not only our journey but also the connections we've made along the way.

Spending time with the students of Wat Nara Chareon Suk School felt like the perfect way to honour this milestone.

Turning Safety into Something Creative

For many children, wearing a helmet is part of everyday life. By inviting students to decorate their own helmets, we hoped to make something practical feel personal and exciting.

Tables quickly filled with colourful paints, playful stickers, bright patterns, and imaginative designs. Each helmet became a reflection of its young artist, full of creativity and individuality.

Alongside the art activity, our team shared simple conversations about road safety and why wearing a helmet is such an important habit. Learning through creativity made these messages both memorable and enjoyable.

Seeing each child proudly wear their finished helmet was a wonderful reminder that even small moments can have a lasting impact.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Education comes in many forms.

Activities like these encourage children to explore their creativity, build confidence, and learn practical life skills through hands-on experiences.
