At Marasca, caring for a destination means caring for the life that surrounds it. This Earth Day, the Marasca Samui team spent the day at Samui Elephant Home, joining a meaningful hands-on activity focused on sustainability, wildlife care, and giving back to nature.

As part of our #MarascaCare commitment, the team took part in the Plant, Shape, Feed activity, a thoughtful program designed to support the elephants and their environment in practical, lasting ways. Throughout the day, our team helped plant food for the elephants, made seed balls to be dispersed into the forest to encourage future food growth, and cut fresh grass to help feed the elephants up close.

The experience was both grounding and memorable. It gave our team the chance to step away from the everyday, connect with nature, and contribute to something that has a real impact on the local ecosystem. It was also a reminder that small, hands-on actions can support a much bigger purpose.

In addition to participating in the activity, Marasca Samui donated 50 kilograms of compost produced from our own composter machine to Samui Elephant Home. The compost will help nourish the soil and support the growth of future food sources for the elephants, extending the impact of the day beyond a single visit.
This initiative reflects what #MarascaCare is all about. We believe care should be active, local, and personal. Whether it is reducing waste, supporting community partners, or contributing to environmental wellbeing, we are committed to taking thoughtful steps that support the places we call home.

We are grateful to Samui Elephant Home, Caring & Education Center, for welcoming our team and for the work they continue to do in promoting sustainability, education, and elephant welfare. Spending Earth Day together was a meaningful way to honour the occasion and reinforce our shared responsibility to protect the natural world.
At Marasca Samui, Earth Day is not only a date on the calendar. It is a chance to reflect on how we can make better choices, support our local environment, and keep building a culture of care that extends beyond our hotel walls.
