The newly opened Marasca Samui graces an idyllic stretch of Chaweng Beach along the north-east coast of Koh Samui in between kaleidoscopic waters and green mountains. Owing to its peaceful location, Marasca promises total tranquillity whilst the homely interiors imbue a warmth, welcome and disarming sense of comfort.
All 62 rooms and suites manage to be both intimate and refreshingly spacious; minimalist yet warmed by earthy tones and statement details. All first-floor guest rooms have private plunge pools and terraces. The theme of intimate tranquillity permeates every inch of the resort, especially within Spa by Marasca where locally-inspired treatments include a hot shell massage using local coconut and moringa oil.
In fact, herbs and vegetables are grown on-site in the organic garden, which provides the ingredients for fresh green juices served each morning during the Homegrown Hour. More juices, plus cocktails, sushi, tacos, small plates of seafood and grilled meats, as well as ice-cream, are served from morning till night at Cabanas Koh Samui Beach Club. Decked out with cushiony cabanas, a beach bar, six food stations and a dedicated sweet station, menus tend to change regularly depending on availability of local ingredients and the catches of the day. Meanwhile, The Pantry always guarantees a selection of snacks and coffee, and the serene Hideout is stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks until 7pm each day.
NB: Marasca Samui is Thailand’s first Fitwel (World’s Leading Healthy Building Certification System) certified hotel and on its way to becoming Samui’s first LEED rated green building.
